Developing Climate Resilient Crops for Maharashtra Network Project Proposal Meeting on 09 April 2018
A meeting was held on April 9, 2018 at the institute to discuss about the status of climate resilience in key crops grown in Maharashtra. In this meeting, there were 2 scientists from MPKV, Rahuri; 5 scientists from VNMKV, Parbhani, 2 scientists from BSKKV, Dapoli and 2 scientists from PDKV, Akola in addition to scientists from NIASM, Baramati. The meeting was chaired by Dr Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, NIASM. In his introductory remark he emphasised the need for climate resilient crops for states like Maharashtra which often faces drought and extreme temperatures that affect both field and horticultural crops.
