Poster competition was held on 18/10/2016 on the topic “Decentralized Solid Waste Management” at ICAR-NIASM, Baramati. Students from Tuljaram Chaturchand College, Baramati and Shardabai Pawar Mahila Mahavidyalay, Sharadanagar, Malegaon and Scientists, Technical Assistants, Senior Research Fellows, Young Professionals of NIASM participated. Three posters were awarded under student category. Poster titled “Importance of decentralized solid waste management” by Bhujbal S K and Kharat A P of Tuljaram Chaturchand College, Baramati were awarded for Best Poster under student category. I/C Director, ICAR-NIASM, Dr. J. Rane, appreciated the efforts of the students in presenting their ideas on waste management and asked them to translate the posters in local language to display the posters in the villages.
