ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management (NIASM), Baramati took part in the Mega Agricultural Exhibition “Krushik-2019” India’s biggest Live Demo and Agri Expo organized by Agricultural Development Trust, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Baramati from 17-20^th January, 2019. “Krushik-2019” was inaugurated by Dr. Peter Carberry, Director General, ICRISAT and honourable Ex-Agricultural Minister, Shri. Sharad Chandra Pawar. ICAR-NIASM exhibited its agricultural technologies like Dragon fruit cultivation in scanty rainfall and shallow soils and its medical and economical importance, the importance and use of SORF machine in sugarcane. The technical folders and technical bulletins developed by the institute namely ICAR-NIASM at a glance, Onion production technology under water scarcity conditions, backyard poultry and its importance in increasing the family income, breeding of singhi fish, fish nutrition, hailstorm mitigation strategies, farm pond based aquaculture system, NIASM annual report etc. were displayed and distributed to the farmers as well as the dignitaries who visited ICAR-NIASM exhibition stall.
