Director, ICAR-NIASM, Baramati Dr. Himanshu Pathak included in the Reuters top 1,000 global climate scientists

Dr. Pathak’s research on climate change impacts, mitigation and adaptation in agriculture started in 1993 at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He continued it at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute (formerly Central Rice Research Institute) at Cuttack, Odisha and currently at ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramati, Maharashtra. His contributions in rationalizing greenhouse gas emission inventory of Indian agriculture, developing mitigation and adaptation strategies and nitrogen budgeting are fundamental to developing climate-smart agriculture. The Reuters special series highlights the achievements of top 1000 global scientists, who had significant impacts on the climate change research and development.
