The campaign ‘Swachhata hi Sewa Hai’ as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was observed at ICAR-NIASM, Baramati on 24th September, 2017. Today ‘Samgra Swachhta Diwas’ was celebrated in our institute. On this occasion three Toilets (two for Gents and one for ladies) were installed nearby crop science farm especially for farm labours. For this people including scientists, technical, administrative, contractual staffs, research fellows, young professionals and farm workers from the institute were eagerly participated for cleaning of weeds and bushes from their premises. On the site first toilets were installed, roofed and painted (both walls and doors). After that cleaning of plastics, weeds and bushes were done. Water tap was also installed on the side wall.
