Celebration of International Day of YOGA – 2022 at ICAR-NIASM, Baramati
On the eve of 8th International Day of Yoga, various activities were planned at ICAR-NIASM, Baramati. A day before actual practice the ‘Common Yoga Protocol Leaflets’ in Hindi and English were circulated to the staff members. On June 21, 2022, the day celebration started with mass practicing of YOGA from 7.30 am to 9.00 am at the Amphitheatre of the Institute. The Director, Dr. Himanshu Pathak introduced the program with brief information on ‘Ashtang Yoga’ and its importance in every day life. Dr. Pravin Taware (ACTO) demonstrated the various loosening exercises, asanas, pranayama and dhyan as per the Common Yoga Protocol designed by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. A motivational lecture to understand YOGA concept and importance of meditation was delivered by Spiritual leader Shri. Nanda Dulal Das from ISCON, Mumbai. Total 89 members along with family members of NIASM staff comprising of the Scientists, Technical and Administrative personnel along with Research scholars, Young Professionals and Students participated the program with enthusiasm. Accepting the demand of the participating staff, while concluding, the Director advised to arrange such programs at frequent intervals.
