One day training cum field demonstration on ‘Conservation agriculture for sugarcane and water stress impacts in vegetables crops’ was organized by ICAR-NIASM on 20^th  January 2022. Team of 70 progressive sugarcane farmers and agricultural officials (leaded by Mr RL Larle, Agricultural Officer) from the state agriculture department, Paithan  and Phulambri Tahsils of Aurangabad district participated in the field training. Dr. G.C.Wakchaure, PI-CRPCA project introduced about conservation agriculture, sugarcane copping system and water stress in vegetable crops. Mr. Prashant Bhosale demonstrated the fields plots under conservation agriculture and vegetable experiments including benefits of MRD machine for ratoon sugarcane. The farmers has given thanks to ICAR-NIASM for updating their knowledge on conservation agriculture and information on alleviating water stress in eggplant using potential wild rootstocks.
