ICAR-NIASM celebrated the National Science Day, on 28^th February 2022. Dr. S.D. Sawant, Honourable  Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balasaheb Konkan Krishi Vidhyapeeth , Dapoli, was the Chief Guest of the function and Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Director, NIASM was the chaired the programme. Head of the Schools highlighted the importance of science day in this programme. Dr. Sawant urged to inculcate scientific temper among individual and suggested the scientific community to work towards benefit of the social welfare and farming community. Dr. Himanshu Pathak briefed the house about Raman Effect and its significance in day to day life and science and also highlighted the contribution of Indian science at international level. He highlighted the contribution of phenomic facility of NIASM Baramati in agriculture research at national level. Dr.  Jagadish Rane, Course Director briefed about the short course on “Advance in Plant Phenomics Tools”. About 13 participants from different state agricultural universities and ICAR Institutes are participating in this training program and national and international experts in plant phenomics will be sharing their expertise and experience with the trainees. The event was organised by training course coordinators Dr Boraiah KM and Dr Basavaraj PS.
